This study provides both qualitative and quantitative analyses of macrobenthic fauna, aiming to establish an annual monitoring network and evaluate the conservation status of selected sites. The research was conducted within the framework of the national project “Development of an Integrated Management Framework for Pilot Areas in the Romanian Sector of the Danube River, Influenced by Climate Change and Anthropogenic Interventions, through the Application of Advanced Investigation Methodologies (Geophysical, Remote Sensing, Sedimentological, Morphological, Biological)” (PN 19 20 02 04).
Between May 16 and June 2, 2020, a total of 21 macrozoobenthos samples were collected, followed by an additional 20 samples between September 18 and October 6, 2020.
